Not having the greatest day of my life, I thought I was totally over my ex-boyfriend and as it turns out I'm not and I miss him more than ever and ARGH at myself. I need to move on and it frustrates the hell out of me that I can't.

So Aths Carnival was yesterday, pretty damn enjoyable and sad that it's our last aths ever.

I am SO SORE. I ran in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and the staff/senior students relay.

The SRC BBQ went really well too, and I'm sad it's the last time I ever have to lug sausages and buy drinks and remember serviettes... (only a little)

After aths I had VET Dance, so you can understand why today, walking up and down the stairs at school is killing my legs. But I had a great day so it was worth it.

 Doctor Who. with a new companion and a new doctor! Yes, I know it's been back for a bit, I'm just a little behind. sorry. But it gives me a good excuse to post epic doctor who photos! :) HUZZAH.

Lest We Forget

Yesterday I went to the annual Essendon v Collingwood AFL match for Anzac Day.

If you don’t already know, I barrack for Essendon and my family goes every year, it’s a big thing.

Unfortunately we lost big time and it was horrible.

But if I take my mind back to before the game, the feeling of being there is phenomenal.

It starts with a procession of war veterans and nurses and some currently serving army people.

They’re in cars that circle the ground, and the crowd stands and claps and cheers them as they pass.

It’s full on how it brings us all together, respecting and remembering what they did for us. I got a little teary this year actually, it was so moving. It makes me proud to be an Australian.

Then both teams enter the ground through a joint banner (see the photo above that I took yesterday) and their songs are played and their supporters cheer.

Then the whole crowd stands as the flag is raised and The Last Post is played. Then we all have a minute of silence. Seeing the MCG full with over 90,000 people in total silence is ridiculous. It’s an amazing thing.

Then we all sing the National Anthem and as soon as we hit that last note, the stadium erupts with noise, and the game begins.

I love it.

My family is so dysfunctional I swear. We are crazy. But I love it.

Also, I miss watching Friends. (see above awesome picture)

I loved that show. Still do. Can still quote it ridiculously and daily things remind me of it.

I am clearly obsessed.

I have managed to negotiate with Mum that I am allowed out Monday for two hours exactly not including travel, so I can catch up with my girlfriends and we can celebrate Boobquake together. I am impressed with myself and my negotiating skills.

I just finished reading Impossible by Nancy Werlin tonight. Quite good, full on book. I would encourage you to read it, but not at night. She's an interesting author.

• The opening bars of 'Hello Twelve, Hello Thirteen, Hello Love' from A Chorus Line played when Jesse and Rachel were making out and it made me smile. Please let me not be the only person who noticed this
• Tina, I love the purple look
• Mr Schuester, I love the whole empowering women thing you've got going on in this episode. 
• Emma, I also love you. 'can't you talk to your Rabbi?'
• and the feminist in me loved Quinn saying 'Women still earn 70c to every dollar that a Man does for doing the same job' it's sad, but true.
• speaking of Quinn, she's still dancing pretty full on for a pregnant girl.....
• Yay for FINALLY picking up the Artie/Tina storyline that they decide to just let hang in Ep 9. I love them together.

It feels like so much has happened since I last posted, I've been on such a rollercoaster of emotions. Yes I know that's a cliche but it's true.

Thursday, school was shit, but that was to be expected. I don't know why I bother going anymore.

They only highlight of the day, was walking home I started crying. Everything was just overwhelming me and I felt so alone. Then out of nowhere, I hear coming out of my school bag 'Don't worry, I'm determined to succeed! Follow my lead.. and yes indeed...' (for those musical theatre dummies, it's the opening of a song from wicked)

Only one of my friends has that ringtone, and I just started to sob because I really needed her at that moment. I turned around and there she was, running towards me and sweeping me up in a hug.

I love you Ellen.

So she looked after me and helped me pack and prepare for the horror that was going to be Friday.

It's nice to know some of my friends still care about me.

I got lovely letters from Holly and Caitlin and an email from Erinna. I wish I went to school with you guys.

miss you all.

Mum and I drove down to Albury that night so I spent some time with my gorgeous little cousin which was nice.

Then it was the funeral Friday. It was awful.

Seeing both my parents cry and staring at the coffin.

I think it gave me some closure though, but it was still really difficult.

Things are very up and down lately. This morning I went swimming with beautiful Lucy and her boyf and Cameron which was really nice and relaxing. Then I was exhausted and went to VET and got all sad about grandpa and was grumpy and horrible. Then had a chat to lovely people and it was all good.

also, just warning you about intense blog spam tonight. it's keeping me sane. and come on, it's Glee and Dance Finale tonight. so much epicness.

Leaving for Albury tomorrow for the funeral Friday. Things will be tough but I'm hoping it will give me some closure.
